2008 RIDE Information

We’re pleased to announce the 42nd annual Minnesota Ironman® Bike Ride. Over 5,000 bicyclists join us for this premiere cycling event each year. The ride is recognized as the “season primer” and as one big, fun cyclist party. The MN Ironman® is not a race - it is a single day bike tour.
With 30, 62 and 100 mile routes, there is something for all cyclists, from recreational families to racing clubs. All routes begin and end in Lakeville, MN - about 30 minutes south of the Twin Cities.

"There is no such thing as bad weather - only inappropriate clothing."
The MN Ironman is held regardless of weather. Sunshine, rain, snow, strong headwinds - the Ironman® Bike Ride has been held for 42 years on the last Sunday in April. That's why we call it the Ironman! We do not cancel the ride for weather. Please dress appropriately. See the TCBC site for tips on dressing and prep.
Support
Bike Mechanical Support: Bike support is offered at the rest stops by local bicycle shops. Sag wagons will also offer support.
Sag Wagon Support: Vans will patrol the route to help riders when needed. They will shuttle riders to the closest rest stop where school buses will carry riders back to the Lakeville North High school.
Police / Medical Support: Local police departments and county sheriffs are on hand to help direct traffic and protect bikers while on the route. Medical personnel are also on standby.
Emergency Hotline: Call 911 for any emergency. If you need to contact the Ironman staff, there will be a day-of-ride phone number published on your 2008 route map.
