2007 Ironman was Biggest Ever

On April 29, 2007 the Minnesota Ironman Bike Ride broke a few records. Thanks to 80 degrees and sunshine we registered 1,330 riders on ride day and ended up with over 5,400 Ironman cyclists. We had the lowest number of ride no-shows in history (4%) and attracted a record number of first year riders (1800).

Being our 41st year, the Minnesota Ironman maintains its reputation as one of the premier rides in the Midwest and the ride that celebrates the true beginning of the Minnesota bicycle season. In 2007 we allowed 350 youth riders to join us for free and added 30 team registrations for the first time. We’re committed to improving the Ironman every year, attracting the next generation of cyclists to the sport and giving riders the challenge they truly deserve.

We can’t control the weather but we will continue to produce a great bike ride.
